Hospital management in Durg is working to seal structural gaps and conduct intensive pest control following an ant infestation in the mother-child unit. Civil surgeon Dr. Ashish Minj stated that recent construction work may have created entry points for the insects. The OT is expected to be fully operational within the next 48 hours after a thorough cleaning process.
