Over 3 Crore Rupees Approved for Khargawa's Gajju Pani Reservoir

Raipur, July 14, 2026 / This is big and relieving news for the farmers of Manendragarh-Chirimiri-Bharatpur (MCB) district of Chhattisgarh. The Water Resources Department of the state government has provided administrative approval of three crore eight lakh rupees for the renovation of Gajju Pani reservoir in Development Block Khargawa. With the renovation of this reservoir, irrigation facilities will be available in an area of 182 hectares. Main canal and dam will be rejuvenated With this approved amount, the work of renovation and repair of the main dam and its canals of Gajju Pani reservoir will be done. Strengthening of the canals of this reservoir, which has been waiting for better maintenance for a long time, will stop water wastage and water will be able to reach the tail end easily. 182 Hectare Area Will Get A Boost According to the officials of the Water Resources Department, all the proposed works under this scheme will be completed within the stipulated time limit. After the completion of the work, farmers in the region will be able to get adequate water for Kharif and Rabi crops. This renovation work will provide better and assured irrigation facilities in a total of 182 hectares of the area, which will directly increase local agricultural production and farmers' income.
