Mothers, sisters, and children urged to send handmade rakhis, good luck messages, and sacred soil from their courtyards by July 30.

Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade called for making the campaign a mass movement.

Raipur, On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the 'Operation Sipahi Raksha-Sutra Abhiyan-2026' has been launched in Chhattisgarh with the aim of expressing respect, gratitude, and affection towards the brave soldiers deployed on the country's borders. Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade has appealed to all mothers, sisters, and children of the state to participate enthusiastically in this campaign and called for making it a large mass movement of respect towards the soldiers.

Affection from the entire state will reach the brave soldiers

Minister Smt. Rajwade said that it is the moral duty of every citizen to express respect for the immense courage, dedication, and sacrifice of the brave soldiers deployed day and night on the borders. She said, "Raksha Bandhan is not just a festival, but a symbol of security, trust, and emotional connection. Through this campaign, the love and affection of the mothers, sisters, and children of Chhattisgarh will directly reach the brave soldiers of the country."

Request to send handmade rakhis, messages, and courtyard soil

Minister Smt. Rajwade urged the people of the state to prepare beautiful rakhis with their own hands, write good luck messages to the soldiers along with them, and place a pinch of sacred soil from their courtyards in an envelope for the victory tilak. This soil will symbolize the blessings of the motherland and the affectionate feelings of Chhattisgarh.

Envelopes can be submitted by July 30

Informing about the deadline, the minister stated that envelopes containing handmade rakhis, good luck messages, and sacred soil must be submitted by July 30, 2026, to the nearest Anganwadi center or the project office of the Women and Child Development Department. All the Raksha Sutras collected under the campaign will be sent to the Army Headquarters in New Delhi through the 'Ex-Servicemen's Association', from where they will be delivered to soldiers deployed on various fronts across the country.

Chhattisgarh stands firmly with the soldiers

Minister Smt. Rajwade appealed to the people of the state to make this campaign an inspiring example of public participation and to convey a strong message to their soldier brothers that the entire Chhattisgarh stands steadfastly with their honor, security, and pride.
