By moving the demarcation procedure online, Chhattisgarh aims to curb the role of intermediaries who previously facilitated paperwork and caused unnecessary delays. The digitised approach eliminates the manual queue, ensuring that applicants no longer need to make multiple trips to government offices. The department has already digitised numerous land-related services: citizens can now obtain digitally signed B-1 and P-II certificates, download QR-coded copies of Khata and Khatian, and track the status of land-transfer applications. Together with the upcoming online demarcation module, these initiatives reinforce the government’s commitment to a paper-less, transparent delivery of land services.
