No tolerance for delays in revenue matters; settle name changes and allocation on time – Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma
Raipur, Chhattisgarh – Revenue and Higher Education Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma, addressing a review meeting of departmental work in Dhamtari, gave administrators strict instructions that any unnecessary delay or negligence in public‑interest matters such as name‑change, allocation, demarcation, ownership cards and land diversion will not be tolerated, and that citizens should not have to make multiple trips to government offices. He emphasized that government schemes must reach the last person in society on time, urging sensitivity, transparency and accountability, and personally handed ownership cards to five beneficiaries and caste certificates to another five. Considering the monsoon season, he inspected flood‑disaster preparedness, ordering 24‑hour monitoring of flood‑prone areas, keeping relief and rescue teams on alert, and ensuring rapid resource mobilisation for public‑fund safety. He also directed the School Education Department to ensure timely distribution of textbooks, uniforms and bicycles for the new academic session, instructed the Agriculture Department to guarantee uninterrupted availability of fertilizer and seeds during the monsoon, and urged the Health Department to strengthen rural health services and maximise the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat scheme based on priority. Collector Abhinash Mishra briefed ongoing infrastructure projects, including a 200‑bed mother‑child hospital, eye and trauma centre, a 100‑bed hospital and nursing college in Kurud, plus roads, auditorium, indoor stadium, Nalanda complex, railway, industrial park and tourism development slated for completion within two years. Minister Verma noted that each officer’s role is crucial in achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Developed India 2047’ vision and Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai’s ‘Developed Chhattisgarh’ pledge, with police superintendent, forest range officer, district panchayat CEO and other senior officials present.
