Organization of "Official Language Month Award Distribution and Closing Ceremony, 2026" in NMDC
The "Official Language Month Celebration, 2026" was organized from September 14 to October 13, 2026, at NMDC Limited, Headquarters, Hyderabad. Today, on October 22, 2026, the "Official Language Month Award Distribution and Closing Ceremony" was organized. The ceremony was presided over by Shri Vinay Kumar, Director (Technical). Shri Krishna Kumar Thakur, Director (Personnel); Shri Anurag Kapil, Director (Finance); Shri Neelkantha Reddy, Chief Vigilance Officer; and Shri Sanjeev Sahi, Executive Director (Human Resources) graced the occasion as distinguished guests.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries on the dais. Subsequently, the dignitaries on the dais were welcomed with bouquets. Shri Ch. Srinivas Rao, Deputy General Manager (Official Language), welcomed the Chairman, distinguished guests, all present Heads of Departments, senior officers, winner students and teachers of the Official Language Month competitions, winner participants from other organizations, and all present employees. He expressed gratitude for their cooperation in making the Official Language Month celebration a success and presented a brief overview of the competitions and other programs organized during the Official Language Month.
On this occasion, Shri Vinay Kumar, Director (Technical), in his message, congratulated the Official Language Department for continuously setting new benchmarks in the field of official language in NMDC and requested all present employees to execute their official tasks in Hindi. Shri Krishna Kumar Thakur, Director (Personnel), while addressing the gathering, said that it is a matter of joy that NMDC Limited is continuously reaching new heights in the field of Hindi. He also said that we should give importance to our mother tongues and official language Hindi in our office work and daily life. Shri Anurag Kapil, Director (Finance), and Shri Neelkantha Reddy, Chief Vigilance Officer, gave suggestions to focus on the use of simple Hindi in financial and vigilance matters.
They emphasized using Hindi more and more in office work by leveraging AI and growing translation facilities.
Subsequently, the award distribution ceremony for the winners of various competitions organized during the Official Language Month Celebration, 2026, namely Hindi Essay Competition for NMDC employees, Unforgettable Memories Competition, Hindi Quiz Competition, Hindi Antakshari Competition; Hindi Quiz Competition for employees of the Research and Development Centre; Hindi Essay Competition for employees of the offices of the Central and State Governments around NMDC Mineral Building; Hindi Essay and Elocution Competition for students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Gachibowli; Hindi Essay and Elocution Competition for students of Government Schools; Hindi Elocution Competition for students of colleges located in Mehdipatnam, was held by the hands of the dignitaries on the dais. On this occasion, the winning employees of Narakaas competitions and the employees who did maximum work in Hindi during the last year were also awarded. The program was coordinated by Dr. Rajinder Kaur, Senior Manager (Official Language), and the vote of thanks was given by Shri Rajesh Kumar Gond, Assistant General Manager (Official Language). Officers of the Official Language Department, Shri Debashish Ghosh, Senior Manager (Official Language), and Shri S.K. Sanodia, Deputy Manager (Secy.), contributed to the successful organization of the Official Language Month Award Distribution and Closing Ceremony.
