New Vice Chairman of Raipur Development Authority Dr. Jai Prakash Sharma Takes Charge

Raipur, July 13, 2026 / The newly appointed Vice Chairman of Raipur Development Authority (RDA), Dr. Jai Prakash Sharma, formally assumed his charge at the Raipur Development Authority office on Monday. Finance, Housing and Environment Minister Shri O.P. Chaudhary was the chief guest on this occasion.

Addressing the charge assumption ceremony, Minister Shri O.P. Chaudhary congratulated and extended his best wishes to Dr. Jai Prakash Sharma. He said that Raipur Development Authority plays a crucial role in the planned and overall development of Raipur. He expressed confidence that Dr. Sharma's experience, administrative capability, and commitment to public service will give new momentum to the authority's development projects and provide better quality facilities to the citizens.

At the ceremony, Raipur Development Authority Chairman Shri Nand Kumar Sahu stated that the benefits of Dr. Sharma's administrative experience, long service in the medical field, and social concerns will be accrued by the Raipur Development Authority. Under his leadership, the effective implementation of the authority's development schemes and public welfare works will gain new direction and speed. He also reiterated the resolve to work together for the quick resolution of public problems through RDA.

After assuming charge, Dr. Jai Prakash Sharma said that in line with the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and the public welfare policies of the state government, the schemes of Raipur Development Authority will be made more effective, transparent, and public-oriented. He added that coordinated efforts will be made with all concerned departments and stakeholders in a time-bound manner to ensure the planned development of Raipur city, expansion of modern infrastructure, quality civic amenities, and to make beneficiary services more accessible and effective.

The program was attended by Chairman of Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board Shri Ram Pratap Singh, Chief Executive Officer of Raipur Development Authority Shri Avnish Sharan, along with many public representatives, office bearers, departmental officials-employees, and a large number of citizens.
