New Raipur Development Authority Vice Chairman Dr. Jai Prakash Sharma Assumes Charge

Raipur, July 13, 2026/Newly appointed Vice Chairman of Raipur Development Authority (RDA), Dr. Jai Prakash Sharma, formally assumed his charge at the Raipur Development Authority office on Monday. Finance, Housing and Environment Minister Shri O.P. Chaudhary was prominently present on this occasion.

Addressing the charge assumption ceremony, Minister Shri O.P. Chaudhary congratulated and extended best wishes to Dr. Jai Prakash Sharma. He stated that the Raipur Development Authority plays a significant role in the planned and overall development of Raipur. He expressed confidence that with Dr. Sharma's experience, administrative capabilities, and commitment to public service, the Authority's development projects will gain new momentum, and citizens will be provided with better and quality facilities.

At the ceremony, Chairman of Raipur Development Authority, Shri Nand Kumar Sahu, said that Raipur Development Authority will benefit from Dr. Sharma's administrative experience, long-standing work in the medical field, and social concerns. Under his leadership, the effective implementation of the Authority's development plans and public welfare works will gain a new direction and pace. He also reiterated the resolve to work together for the swift resolution of common people's problems through RDA.

After assuming charge, Dr. Jai Prakash Sharma stated that in line with the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and the public welfare policies of the state government, the schemes of Raipur Development Authority will be made more effective, transparent, and public-oriented. He added that work will be done in a time-bound manner by establishing coordination with all concerned departments and stakeholders to ensure planned development of Raipur city, expansion of modern infrastructure, quality civic amenities, and more accessible and effective beneficiary services.

Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board Chairman Shri Ram Pratap Singh, Raipur Development Authority Chief Executive Officer Shri Avnish Sharan, along with many public representatives, office bearers, departmental officers-employees, and a large number of citizens were present at the program.
