A new rail service was inaugurated in Rajim, Chhattisgarh, providing enhanced connectivity for residents. The launch, marked by a green signal from Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, introduced a new MEMU train service connecting Rajim to Raipur. This initiative also extended the Raipur-Abhanpur MEMU rail service to Rajim. The event witnessed a large number of passengers boarding the train, eager to travel to Raipur. The introduction of this affordable and accessible rail service has generated a sense of joy and excitement throughout the region.
The Chief Minister stated that this new rail service will offer the people of Rajim, as well as those in the Gariaband and Devbhog areas, an affordable and economical travel option to the capital, Raipur. This train will be particularly useful for students, working professionals, and businesspeople. He emphasized that Rajim, often called the ‘Prayag’ of Chhattisgarh, is now connected to the rail network, making travel from rural areas to Raipur smoother, more convenient, and more cost-effective.
