Raipur, November 11, 2025/ Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, administrative approval and in-principle consent have been provided by the Finance Department for various projects in the Kunukuri Assembly constituency within Jashpur district.
The Finance Department has granted administrative approval for the construction of a 12.80-kilometer-long road from Tumla to Medar (Odisha border) at a cost of ₹27.73 crore. The completion of this route will improve connectivity of border villages and boost trade and social activities.
Similarly, administrative approval has been given for the Bagia Barrage cum Pressurized Lift Irrigation Scheme on the Maini River in Kansabel development block, amounting to ₹79.38 crore. This project will provide a permanent irrigation facility to farmers and increase agricultural production.
For the expansion of health facilities in Kunukuri, the Finance Department has provided in-principle consent for the construction of a new Government Medical College building, worth ₹359 crore. This will provide medical education to the youth of the tribal region and better health services to the local citizens.
Furthermore, administrative approval has been granted for the Kokiya Diversion Scheme in the Farsabahar development block, amounting to ₹16.17 crore, which will provide long-term benefits to the region in terms of irrigation and water management.
