Raipur, July 15, 2026/ Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai welcomed the approval of Semicon 2.0, the National Urea Investment Policy-2026 (NIPU-2026), and the Mobile Phone Manufacturing Promotion Scheme (MPMS) by the Union Cabinet under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, describing it as a historic and forward-thinking decision towards building a developed India.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, India is rapidly moving towards a new era of self-reliance, innovation, and cutting-edge manufacturing. These three significant decisions by the Central Government will prove instrumental in taking the country's industrial capacity, agricultural security, and electronics manufacturing to new heights. He expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and the Union Cabinet for this.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai stated that the Semicon 2.0 scheme, with an outlay of ₹1,27,500 crore, will play a crucial role in developing a world-class ecosystem for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing in the country. This will ensure India's strong participation in the global supply chain. He mentioned that Chhattisgarh is also rapidly emerging as a destination for high-tech industries through its new industrial policy, better infrastructure, investment-friendly environment, and skill development. Such national initiatives will create new opportunities for investment and employment in the state as well.
The Chief Minister said that the National Urea Investment Policy-2026 will strengthen the availability of fertilizers in the country and help in providing timely essential fertilizers to farmers. Millions of farmers in Chhattisgarh will benefit from this, and agricultural production will gain new strength. He stated that the Center and the state government are continuously working in coordination for the prosperity of farmers and the self-reliance of the agricultural sector.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that the Mobile Phone Manufacturing Promotion Scheme (MPMS), with an outlay of ₹62,500 crore, is a significant initiative towards establishing India as a major hub for global electronics manufacturing and export. This will provide a significant boost to Indian brands, research and development, innovation, and local manufacturing. He added that a conducive environment is being created in Chhattisgarh for industrial investment, electronics, IT, and emerging technology sectors, which will create new opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship for the state's youth.
