New industrial parks approved in Rajnandgaon, Dhamtari and beyond

The government announced the sanction of four new industrial parks extending the traditional manufacturing belt of Raipur‑Bhilai to other districts. The approved parks are situated in Rajnandgaon, Dhamtari, Janjgir‑Champa and Bastar, aiming to decentralise industrial growth.

In parallel, the central government gave the green light to an Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC 2.0) covering about 306 acres in Rajnandgaon. The cluster is expected to attract major semiconductor, electric‑vehicle and smart‑electronics players, potentially creating close to 9,000 jobs.

Chief Minister Sai invited investors to explore these new zones, promising transparent policies, timely approvals and a business environment free from bureaucratic red‑tape. He reiterated that the state’s industrial development policy for 2024‑30 opens fresh avenues for traditional sectors such as steel and mining as well as emerging domains like AI, data centres, pharmaceuticals, textiles and agro‑processing.
