National Food Security Mission's Success: Farmer Shubham Dubey's Path Transformed by Advanced Maize Seeds and Agricultural Support

Raipur, The Chhattisgarh government is continuously taking effective steps to increase farmers' income, reduce farming costs, and promote the production of coarse grains. Under the National Food Security and Nutrition Mission, run by the agriculture department, farmers in the state are being provided with advanced agricultural techniques, quality seeds, and necessary agricultural inputs (fertilizers and medicines), the positive results of which are now becoming visible on the ground.

New Enthusiasm in Shubham Dubey's Life Through Maize Cultivation

Under the National Food Security and Nutrition Mission, farmers are being encouraged towards high-yield crops along with traditional crops, giving new momentum to agricultural production and farmers' prosperity in the state. Farmer Shubham Dubey, a resident of village Krishnapur in Ambikapur block of Surguja district, is experiencing new enthusiasm in his life. Shubham Dubey has cultivated maize on about two acres of his land. He was provided with high-yield maize seeds, fertilizers, and necessary medicines for weed control by the agriculture department.

Shift from Vegetables to Maize, Increased Production and Income Expectations

Farmer Shubham Dubey said that earlier he used to cultivate vegetables traditionally in his field, but he did not get the expected production and profit from it. After joining the National Food Security and Nutrition Mission and cultivating maize with high-yield seeds and proper nutrition management, the plants developed rapidly. The use of suggested medicines for weed control gave the crop full opportunity to thrive. Shubham Dubey says that the crop is maturing on time and with better quality, due to which he has full hope of getting a good price by selling the produce in the market at the right time. This will not only increase his income but also strengthen his family's economic condition.

Expressed Gratitude to the Chief Minister and Government

Encouraged by the technical guidance and timely assistance received from the agriculture department, Shubham Dubey expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai and the Chhattisgarh government. He said that this initiative of the government is giving a new direction to farming for small and traditional farmers and has increased their confidence in agriculture.
