‘Muskurata Bastar’ Cartoon Workshop to Highlight Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s Vision

Raipur, In collaboration with the Chhattisgarh Public Relations Department, the country's only monthly cartoon magazine, Cartoon Watch, will organize a special cartoon workshop for school students in Jagdalpur on the theme ‘Muskurata Bastar’. In the workshop, students will be trained in the art of cartoons and caricatures and encouraged to creatively express the culture, tourism, and folk life of Bastar. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai, Bastar is today establishing new dimensions of development, tourism, and cultural identity. Bastar is creating a new identity in the country and the world due to its natural beauty, tribal culture, and tourist destinations. Chitrakote and Teerathgarh waterfalls, Kanger Valley National Park, Bastar Dussehra, and other folk festivals are symbols of Bastar's rich heritage. Cartoon Watch editor Mr. Triyambak Sharma stated that the workshop's theme, ‘Muskurata Bastar’, is to give creative expression to these positive aspects through cartoon art. In this workshop, senior cartoonist from Delhi, Mr. Madhav Joshi, and famous caricature artist from Pune, Mr. Shubham Jinde, will provide training on creating cartoons and caricatures on the spot through live demonstrations. Students will also be introduced to the social, creative, and employment-related aspects of cartoon art. The workshop will provide a platform for local talent and help convey Bastar's positive identity across the country through art. The ‘Muskurata Bastar’ campaign is a creative effort to connect the new generation with their culture, folk traditions, and natural heritage.
