Murder in Dhourpur: Jadu Yadav Confesses to Killing Parents and Concealing Remains

Police in Chhattisgarh have lodged a double‑murder charge sheet against Jadu Yadav after he confessed to the killing of his own parents in the village of Sapda, Dhourpur block. The victims – Heera Dhar Yadav, 55, and his wife Gulabi Yadav, 50 – were bludgeoned to death with a *tangi*, a wooden rod traditionally used for threshing.

Following the murders, the accused allegedly placed each body in a separate sack, stacked the sacks inside a locked room, and covered the floor with cow dung to destroy forensic traces. He then escaped the premises, leaving the younger brother Mohan to discover the gruesome scene the next day.

Detectives recovered the sacks, the locked chamber and the remnants of dung, which were sent for forensic analysis. Jadu Yadav was taken into custody on the fourth day of the inquiry. He told investigators that a heated argument over family assets and personal grievances had driven him to commit the crime.

The investigation is proceeding under Sections 103(1) and 238 of the Indian Penal Code, which pertain to murder and concealment of a dead body. The court has ordered that Jadu Yadav remain in jail pending further legal proceedings.
