Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) have benefitted significantly from the broader use of GeM in Chhattisgarh. In FY 2025‑26, purchases from MSEs grew to ₹1,800 crore, a 61 percent rise and well above the 25 percent target set for the state.
Women entrepreneurs saw a 97 percent increase in procurement, while SC/ST‑owned businesses recorded a 108 percent rise. Start‑up participation surged the most, climbing 178 percent year‑on‑year.
The data underscores how a transparent digital marketplace can level the playing field, giving smaller and traditionally under‑represented businesses direct access to government demand without intermediaries.
