Raipur, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today listened to the 136th episode of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's popular monthly radio program 'Mann Ki Baat' along with young friends, public representatives, and common citizens at Daya Bhawan in Fafadih, the capital.
After the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' program has become a strong platform for dialogue with the countrymen, giving national recognition to positive and inspiring work happening in society. People across the country eagerly await this program every month. Through this program, the Prime Minister brings to the fore individuals, institutions, innovations, and public campaigns that are making significant contributions to the building of society and the nation without seeking fame or personal expectation.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the repeated mention of Chhattisgarh's achievements, cultural heritage, and innovations in the 'Mann Ki Baat' program by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in the past few months is a matter of pride for every resident of the state. Earlier, the Prime Minister had provided a national platform to Chhattisgarh's cultural strength, tribal traditions, and young talent by mentioning the rich archaeological heritage of Malhar, and innovative events like the Bastar Olympics and Bastar Pandum.
He said that in today's program, the Prime Minister mentioned the excellent work being done in Korba towards water conservation and groundwater recharge. This is another proud achievement for Chhattisgarh. The mention of the state's achievements on the national stage by the Prime Minister not only boosts the morale of the people of Chhattisgarh but also gives new recognition to the state's innovations and public participation-based development model across the country.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that in Korba, geospatial mapping, shallow aquifer management, recharge wells, and other modern techniques are being used for water conservation and groundwater recharge using scientific methods. The objective of these efforts is to conserve maximum rainwater, improve groundwater levels, and ensure long-term water availability in the region.

Chief Minister said that there are immense possibilities in Chhattisgarh's tribal handicrafts, Kosa silk, handloom textiles, bell metal, bamboo crafts, clay art, and forest products. Adopting them is an honor to the labor and creativity of local artisans.

Chief Minister Shri Sai, referring to Prime Minister Shri Modi's appeal to adopt Ganesh idols made of the country's soil in the context of the upcoming Ganesh festival, said that eco-friendly festivals are an important step towards maintaining balance between our culture and nature.
He said that installing Ganesh idols made from local soil provides employment to local potters and artisans, promotes indigenous products, and helps in protecting water sources from chemical pollution. The use of idols made of clay is beneficial for tradition, environment, and the local economy - all three.
Chief Minister said that the state government is promoting tree plantation through public participation for environmental conservation and the creation of a green Chhattisgarh. He called upon the people of the state to actively participate in the 'One Tree in Mother's Name' campaign.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the Prime Minister lauded the achievements of Indian youth in the fields of sports, science, space, and innovation.
