Mahatari Vandan Scheme Becomes a New Identity of Women's Confidence and Self-Reliance

Raipur, July 13 2026 – Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri VishnuDev Sahay, the state government’s Mahatari Vandan Scheme aimed at economic empowerment and social respect for women is bringing positive changes in thousands of families. Implemented through the Women and Child Development Department, the ambitious scheme provides regular financial assistance that promotes self‑reliance and strengthens women’s confidence. Mrs Basanti Dhurve of Dumaria village in the Gaurela development block of Gaurela‑Pendra‑Marwahi district is an inspiring example. She said she received the 29th instalment of the Mahatari Vandan Scheme in her bank account, which helps her meet daily needs, manage household expenses better and fulfill family requirements. She added that regular financial aid now enables her to take on family financial responsibilities with greater confidence. Mrs Dhurve emphasized that the scheme is not only monetary assistance but also offers women respect, self‑reliance and dignity, freeing them from dependence for minor needs and allowing a more active role in family decisions. She expressed gratitude to Chief Minister VishnuDev Sahay, noting that the government has made women’s interests a top priority by implementing this welfare scheme that directly reaches women, building confidence, security and respect in their lives. Thanks to effective implementation by the Women and Child Development Department, the scheme’s benefits are reaching millions of women across the state, strengthening women’s economic participation, improving families’ financial stability and fulfilling the government’s commitment to inclusive development. Today the Mahatari Vandan Scheme is more than just financial aid; it has become a powerful means of self‑reliance, respect and empowerment, with the state government continuously working to integrate women into the mainstream of development, empower them economically and improve their living standards.
