Launch of Developed India Employment and Livelihood Guarantee Mission (Rural) in Gourela Pendra Marwahi District

Raipur, July 2, 2026/ A district-level launch program for the Developed India Employment and Livelihood Guarantee Mission (Rural) was organized on Thursday at the Arpa Sabha Kaksh Collectorate in Pendra, Gourela Pendra Marwahi district. The program included a live broadcast of the national-level launch ceremony via video conferencing. The chief guest of the program was Shri Pranav Kumar Marpachi, Vice-Chairman of the Central Region Tribal Development Authority and MLA of Marwahi, while the presidency was held by Zila Panchayat President Smt. Sameera Paikra. At the national level, Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the mission, emphasizing rural employment, self-employment, skill development, and livelihood promotion. Chief Guest Shri Pranav Kumar Marpachi stated that each Gram Panchayat will be provided with an amount of two crore rupees annually, enabling development works to be carried out uniformly in all panchayats. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and appealed to the public representatives to ensure the effective implementation of the scheme. Zila Panchayat President Smt. Sameera Paikra said that this scheme is directly linked to the development of villages, the poor, and farmers. It will accelerate livelihood, construction work, and other development schemes, thereby giving new direction to the development of not only the panchayats but also the district and the state. Present at the program were Zila Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Shri Mukesh Rawate, Zila Panchayat Vice-President Raja Upendra Bahadur Singh, Janpad Panchayat President Marwahi Jankhi Kushro, Zila Panchayat Members Bhuvan Singh Gowas, Pawan Paikra, Purnima Paikra, District President Lalji Yadav, Deputy Collector Ms. Akanksha Pandey, along with public representatives and district-level officials.
