Kulagam Terror Attack: Chhattisgarh Government to Provide 20-20 Lakh Rupees Assistance to Families of Deceased Workers

Kulagam terror attack in which Chhattisgarh’s migrant workers were killed will see the state government give assistance of 20 lakh rupees to each family of the deceased workers. The Chhattisgarh government stands with the victims’ families, says Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. In Raipur, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai expressed deep sorrow over the cowardly attack carried out by terrorists in Kulagam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed the lives of Mr. Deepak Ratree of Sakti district and Mr. Bhuprendra Bhaina of Saranghar-Bilaspur district, who were migrant workers from Chhattisgarh. He condemned the heinous and inhuman terrorist act in strong terms, stating that targeting innocent civilians is a crime against humanity and such cowardly deeds are unacceptable in any civilized society. He said that in this hour of grief the Chhattisgarh government stands firmly with the bereaved families with full sensitivity and strength, and announced that the state will provide assistance of 20 lakh rupees to the families of both deceased workers. He added that as soon as the incident was reported he instructed senior state officials to contact officials of the Jammu-Kashmir government to establish necessary coordination. A nodal officer will be appointed to maintain coordination with the Jammu-Kashmir administration and to monitor the process of providing all possible assistance to the families. The chief minister prayed to God for peace of the departed souls and wished the grieving families the strength to endure this unbearable sorrow.
