Kolkata Agency Helps Uncover Counterfeit Auto Parts Network in Chhattisgarh

EIPR India Private Limited, a Kolkata investigation agency, played a key role in exposing a counterfeit auto‑parts operation in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh.

Senior officer Shubhashish De filed a formal complaint after the agency received authorization from UNO Minda to track illegal spare parts.

The investigation revealed that Bol Bam Auto Parts on Magarpra Road was selling fake handle‑bar switches under the UNO Minda name, despite the dealer’s awareness of their counterfeit nature.

Police have filed an FIR against the shop’s proprietor, Anuj Prasad Chaursia, citing fraud, trademark infringement and copyright violations.

The case underscores the importance of coordinated efforts between brand owners, investigative agencies, and law enforcement to curb the distribution of bogus automotive components.
