The Chief Minister’s Independence Day speech catalogued a wide array of schemes that have reshaped Chhattisgarh’s socioeconomic landscape.

He began by honoring national freedom icons and local martyrs, then moved to the state’s milestones.

Agricultural support featured a Minimum Support Price of ₹3,100 per quintal for paddy and a bonus of 21 quintals per acre, along with a ₹15,000 grant for farmers who shift to pulses, oilseeds, maize or millets. Fertilizer distribution remained uninterrupted despite global supply shocks.

The “Niyad Nella Nar 2.0” and “Bastar Munne” initiatives have saturated 31 development schemes and 14 community facilities, benefitting 3.9 million people.

In education, 36 new schools have been approved, and 36 former “Naxal‑blocked” schools are operational again. “Education Cities” are being set up in remote blocks to elevate learning standards.

Health outreach under the “Swachh Basti Health Mission” screened over 3.4 million residents, creating personalized health profiles for targeted interventions.

Infrastructure drives include solar power for 461 villages, the construction of roads linking 234 interior habitations, and the launch of a “Rural Bus Service” covering 814 villages.

The government digitised 2,028 panchayats, with 1,988 functioning as Common Service Centres, and erected 7,500 “Atal Panchayat Digital” hubs to deliver banking and other services.

Major water projects include the “Sikasar‑Codar Canal Linking” approved for ₹3,047 crore and irrigation approvals exceeding ₹11,000 crore, notably a ₹2,000 crore Indravati basin project that will irrigate 32,000 hectares.

Social welfare measures covered the “Mahataari Vandan” scheme, disbursing ₹19,444 crore to 7 million women, and the “Lakhpati Didi” programme, which now counts 1.385 million women as self‑reliant entrepreneurs.

The speech ended with a cultural note, urging youth to embrace the Vedic mantra “Sangacchadhvam, Samvadadhvam, Samvo Manansi Janatam” and work together towards a developed, prosperous Chhattisgarh.
