Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai attended the dignified ceremony held at the DDU Auditorium of the capital Raipur today and attended the reception and reception of Jitendra Kumar Sahu, the newly appointed chairman of the Chhattisgarh Telghani Development Board. On this occasion, he gave heartfelt greetings and best wishes to Sahu for his new responsibility.
Chief Minister Sai said that today is a celebration of the cultural heritage of Chhattisgarh and respect for traditional labor, which has preserved the soul of the state for centuries. He said that Jitendra Sahu is an educated, progressive farmer and has a long experience of social life. Certainly, Chhattisgarh Telghani Development Board will touch new heights under his leadership.
Chief Minister Sai said that water and energy is needed more for cultivation in summer, in such a situation it is very important to promote oilseed crops by adopting the crop cycle. Many schemes from the government are running for the farmers from the government, which will benefit the people of Chhattisgarh. The role of Sahu Samaj and Telghani Development Board can be important in this direction. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the ‘Local for Wocal’ campaign is gaining momentum, in which the Telghani Development Board can make effective contribution.
Giving the example of a village in Surguja district, the Chief Minister said that the farmers there are collectively producing organic aromatic rice and selling it at a price of Rs 300 per kg. Similarly, some farmers are selling mustard oil from traditional method and selling up to Rs 1,000 per liter. There is a need to encourage such innovations across the state.
Chief Minister Sai said that his government has fulfilled most of the promises under ‘Modi’s guarantee’ in 15 months. He informed that by April 30, through the ‘Housing Survey Plus Plus’ campaign, housingless persons will be identified and made available to them. Also, arrangements have been made to benefit more and more needy families by bringing laxity in the rules of housing schemes. He said that Prime Minister Modi has set a target of construction of 3 crore housing across the country, which will also give direct benefits to the citizens of Chhattisgarh.
The Chief Minister also informed that on the occasion of Panchayati Raj Day, ‘Atal Digital Facilitation Center’ has been launched in 1460 villages of 146 development blocks of the state, through which the benefits of various government schemes at the gram panchayat level will directly reach the common citizens. He said that in the coming times, the public will not have to get the line of the bank. This service will be provided in 8 thousand gram panchayats in the next 6 months and in some months this service will be started in 11 thousand panchayats.
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw said that the government has entrusted the responsibility of Telghani Development Board to an educated and typical Chhattisgarh farmer of Sahu Samaj. He expressed confidence that the board under the leadership of Sahu would succeed in fulfilling its objectives.
On this occasion, MLAs Sunil Soni, Ishwar Sahu, Deepesh Sahu, Doman Lal Corsewada and Chairman of various Divisional Commissions, Telghani Development Board officials-employees and a large number of dignitaries were present.
