Jashpur Gains Public Venue for Affordable Family Functions
Chhattisgarh has added another vital civic amenity to Jashpur district with the inauguration of a ₹1.35 crore public community center. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Saith dedicated the newly built Pandit Ramchandra Paauranik Samudayik Bhawan to the city, highlighting its role in simplifying access to event spaces for residents.
Situated centrally in Jashpur, the hall is designed to accommodate a diverse range of cultural and family programs. The Chief Minister pointed out that such facilities are a practical solution to the rising costs associated with private wedding venues and party halls. By providing a government-backed alternative, the project aims to reduce the financial stress on households and promote inclusive social participation.
According to the Chief Minister, the state administration is actively concentrating on upgrading municipal infrastructure to meet growing citizen demands. These community hubs are viewed as essential instruments for nurturing social harmony and facilitating collective cultural activities. The development underscores the government’s push to decentralize public services and bring modern facilities to everyday citizens.
In a forward-looking move during the ceremony, Saith earmarked ₹30 lakh to establish a similar community structure in North Jashpur. This allocation will ensure that residents in the northern pockets of the district also benefit from localized, cost-effective event management solutions.
The dedication event drew prominent political figures and senior bureaucrats. Present at the function were Raigadh MP Radheshyam Rathiya, Jashpur MLA Rai Munni Bhagat, Municipal Chairperson Arvind Bhagat, and District Panchayat President Salik Saith. Other district panchayat members who attended included Prabal Pratap Singh Judev, Krishna Rai, Amar Sultaniya, Gend Bihar, Sunil Gupta, and Bharat Singh. High-ranking administrative officials, including Divisional Commissioner Narendra Dugga, DIG Deepak Kumar Jha, Collector Rohit Vyasa, SP Dr. Lal Ummed Singh, and Municipal Officer Yogeshwar Upadhyay, joined the gathering.
