During the conversation, the CM asked Mira whether she was receiving any government welfare schemes. Mira replied that she had opened a bank account under the Prime Minister’s Jan Dhan Yojana and was receiving a monthly stipend of one thousand rupees through the state’s Mother Vandan scheme.

The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction, noting that welfare programmes achieve their purpose only when they reach the needy directly, empower them financially and improve their quality of life.
