Raipur, Chhattisgarh Tourism made an impressive presence at the FAITH Conclave 2026 organized by the Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism & Hospitality (FAITH), a leading organization in the country's tourism and hospitality sector, at Hotel Taj, New Delhi, elevating the state's strong identity in the national tourism landscape to new heights. A special panel discussion on Chhattisgarh's tourism was organized in the presence of tourism and hospitality experts from across the country, national and international travel agents, representatives from tourism departments of various states, travel media, and key stakeholders associated with the tourism industry.
On this occasion, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, Mr. Nilu Sharma, and Managing Director of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, Mr. Vivek Acharya, presented a comprehensive overview of the state's natural, cultural, religious, tribal, and adventure tourism potential. They informed the present delegates that Chhattisgarh is rapidly emerging as one of the most unique tourist destinations in the country due to its ancient cultural heritage, distinct tribal life, dense forests, waterfalls, archaeological treasures, wildlife, and spiritual sites.
During the panel discussion, detailed information was also shared on the expansion of tourism infrastructure in the state, new tourism policies, private investment opportunities, community participation, eco-tourism, home-stays, religious tourism, heritage tourism, and efforts towards sustainable tourism development. Additionally, tour operators and tourism industry representatives from India and abroad were invited to visit Chhattisgarh and experience its natural beauty, cultural diversity, and tourism offerings.
Mr. Nilu Sharma, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, said that Chhattisgarh is today emerging not just as a state of natural beauty, but as a burgeoning hub for experience-based tourism. He stated that the state government is continuously working to make tourism an effective medium for employment, investment, and local economic development. He urged all representatives associated with the tourism industry to visit Chhattisgarh, experience its unique culture, hospitality, and tourist destinations, and give the state a prominent place in their travel circuits.
Mr. Vivek Acharya, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, said that special attention is being given to infrastructure, digital promotion, investment-friendly environment, private sector participation, and quality tourism services for the development of the tourism sector in the state. He added that the objective of the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board is to establish the state as a distinct and preferred destination on the national and international tourism map. He called upon representatives from various states, travel agencies, and the industry to enhance partnerships and leverage the new business opportunities in Chhattisgarh's tourism sector.
