Raipur, Before Raksha Bandhan, a thread of Rakhi was tied in the capital Raipur today, which held the pure affection of brother-sister, the honor of martyrdom, and the warmth towards families who have endured the pain of Naxal violence for years. In the 'Sneh Ki Dor' program organized at Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium, Smt. Madhuri Verma, wife of Sub-Inspector Shri Yugal Kishore Verma, who attained martyrdom in a Naxal encounter, tied Rakhi on the wrist of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai. In this affectionate moment, the Chief Minister became emotional.
CM Shri Sai said emotionally, “I do not have a biological sister. We are all brothers. Today Madhuri Ji has tied Rakhi on my wrist. I have found a sister greater than a biological sister.”
With these words from the Chief Minister, the entire atmosphere became emotional. On one hand, there was the sister who lost her life partner for the security of the motherland and the state, and on the other hand, there was the head of the state, who accepted her Rakhi not just as a thread of protection, but as an affectionate brother-sister relationship to be cherished for a lifetime.
The Chief Minister assured Smt. Madhuri Verma that the family of martyr Shri Yugal Kishore Verma is their own family. He said that the families of martyrs are never alone. It is not only the government's responsibility but also our heartfelt duty to care for their joys and sorrows, honor, and future. Today, as sister Madhuri has tied Rakhi, the responsibility towards her family as a brother has deepened further.
Chief Minister Shri Sai saluted the supreme sacrifice of martyr Sub-Inspector Shri Yugal Kishore Verma and said that Chhattisgarh will always be indebted to its brave soldiers and their families. Our soldiers sacrificed their present so that the future of the coming generations of Chhattisgarh could be secure.
