Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today participated in the GST 2.0 Reforms “Thank You Modi Ji” program organized at the Medical College Auditorium in Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that GST reforms have brought about historic changes in the economic sector, which are directly benefiting the common people. The reduction in GST rates has brought happiness to the lives of 140 crore countrymen.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister honored the Padma Shri awardees and national players of Chhattisgarh. The program was organized under the aegis of the Trade Cell, Economic Cell and Business Cell. The Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Raipur division was also present.
Addressing the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the decision of GST reforms is a historic and courageous decision taken by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, such decisions have been taken continuously about which it was said that these could never happen. Whether it is removing Article 370 or the decision to bring the Triple Talaq Bill. In this series, GST reforms are an important step towards providing economic strength to the people.
The Chief Minister said that I myself am going among the people to get information about the benefits of the reduction in GST rates. Recently, when I went to a mart to meet people buying daily necessities, the housewives there told me that these reforms have reduced our kitchen budget. When the housewives were telling me the reduced prices of each item, there was a smile on their faces. Farmers have got great relief from these reforms. I also went to a tractor showroom where I found out that the price of tractors has come down from Rs 65 thousand to Rs 1 lakh.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the traders of the state will have a big contribution in the construction of developed Chhattisgarh. The new industrial policy of Chhattisgarh is being liked very much by the investors. I have recently visited Japan and Korea where investor connect programs were also held. Many investors from the Asian continent have shown interest in investing in Chhattisgarh. Industrial investment in the state will create a large number of jobs.
MP Shri Brijmohan Agarwal said that the GST reforms done by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi are ‘unprecedented’. This step is empowering the common man. While on the one hand, people are benefiting from the reduction in the prices of essential goods of daily use, on the other hand, the country’s economy is also getting stronger. There is a very good response from the public regarding GST reforms.
