Himachal and Uttarakhand Under Rain Watch as Depression Moves Inland

The Himalayan states of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are preparing for a period of sustained precipitation. Forecasts indicate heavy to very heavy rain in Uttarakhand through September 28, while Himachal Pradesh faces similar risks tomorrow. A depression originating over southern Odisha is driving this moisture, interacting with local atmospheric disturbances to create turbulent weather. Travelers in these regions are urged to monitor road conditions for landslide risks.
