Monsoon conditions are bringing heavy rainfall to many parts of the country. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings for heavy downpours, strong winds, and lightning strikes in the coming days. Delhi experienced light to moderate rainfall in various areas on Friday.
The weather department forecasts cloudy skies throughout Saturday in the capital, with the possibility of moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning. Similar weather conditions are expected on Sunday. The maximum temperature today may reach 36 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature could be 27 degrees Celsius.
In Uttar Pradesh, the IMD predicts thunderstorms and heavy rain in several districts today. A warning has been issued for July 6th. Western UP can expect thundershowers today, with the potential for lightning and heavy rainfall in some areas. Eastern Uttar Pradesh is likely to experience heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in several places. On July 6th, most of western Uttar Pradesh will see thundershowers, with lightning possible in many areas. Eastern UP is also expected to receive rain in most places.
Bihar and Jharkhand are also bracing for wet weather. The IMD has predicted thunderstorms and lightning with rainfall in all 19 districts of South Bihar, including Patna, Gaya, and Jehanabad. In Jharkhand, heavy rainfall is expected in the northern parts of the state today, accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds of 30 to 40 kmph.
From today until July 10th, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh can expect heavy rainfall in isolated locations. Rajasthan is also likely to experience heavy rainfall in various areas today. From today to July 9th, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand may see rain. On July 6th and 7th, heavy to very heavy rainfall is possible in the Mandi, Kangra, and Sirmaur districts of Himachal Pradesh.
Southern Konkan (South Coastal Maharashtra) and Goa may experience extremely heavy rainfall in isolated places today, tomorrow, and the day after. Furthermore, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in Konkan and Goa, the Ghat regions of central Maharashtra, and various parts of Gujarat over the next seven days.
