The ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan’ (Healthy Woman, Empowered Family Campaign) and the National Nutrition Month 2025 will commence in Chhattisgarh, aligning with the national initiative spearheaded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Women and Child Development. The nationwide launch, initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Indore, Madhya Pradesh on September 17th, will see Chhattisgarh hosting a state-level program at the Agriculture College Auditorium in Raipur. The event will be graced by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai as the chief guest and Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Smt. Annapurna Devi, presiding over the function. The campaign aims to conduct over 7,500 health camps across the state, focusing on early detection and treatment for prevalent health issues in women and children, including hypertension, diabetes, cancer, tuberculosis, and leprosy. The initiative will also offer prenatal check-ups, distribution of mother and child protection cards, vaccinations for children, and awareness programs for adolescent girls regarding nutrition and menstrual hygiene.
