Grand Cleanliness Campaign Organized in Raipur under 'Swachhata Hi Seva: October 1, One Day, One Date, One Hour'

Raipur, Under the 'Swachhata Hi Seva 2026' campaign and the program 'October 1, One Day, One Date, One Hour', a grand cleanliness campaign was organized today at Narhareshwar (Naraiya) pond located at Siddharth Chowk, in collaboration with Municipal Corporation Raipur and Kalinga University. Approximately 90 students from Kalinga University enthusiastically participated in the campaign. The students conducted a special cleaning drive in and around the pond, collecting about 3.5 metric tons of waste. The collected waste was transported for scientific disposal by the Municipal Corporation's waste collection vehicles. The program was attended by officials from the Swachh Bharat Mission headquarters and Zone No.-4 of Municipal Corporation Raipur. Shri Deepak Gupta and Shri Bala Saidababu were present on behalf of Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd. From Kalinga University, university NCC and NSS volunteers, led by Dr. Harsha Sharma, NCC Coordinator, actively participated. The objective of this campaign was to ensure the cleanliness of water bodies and public places, raise awareness about the proper management of plastic and other waste, and inspire citizens to participate in cleanliness activities. This campaign was successfully completed with the enthusiastic cooperation and public participation of all participants. On this occasion, emphasis was also placed on collective efforts for building a clean and healthy Raipur and the importance of environmental protection. The 'Swachhata Hi Seva' campaign is an important initiative towards building a clean, beautiful, and sustainable city through public participation.
