Governor plants a tree under the 'One Tree in Mother's Name' campaign

Governor Ramen Deka, during his visit to Raygarh, planted a sapling under the ‘One Tree in Mother’s Name’ campaign at the district collectorate campus. He said that nature conservation is not only an effort to save the environment but a crucial step towards a safe and healthy future for coming generations. He highlighted the growing challenges of pollution, climate change and unhealthy lifestyles, and urged every individual to take responsibility for nature by promoting tree planting and environmental protection as a mass movement. The Governor praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘One Tree in Mother’s Name’ campaign, calling it a symbol of both environmental conservation and emotional attachment, and appealed to citizens to plant a tree in memory of their mother and pledge to protect it. The Governor’s secretary Dr. C.R. Prasanna, Collector Mayank Chaturvedi and other officials were present.
