Balodabazar gifted development works worth 3.5 crore rupees: Revenue Minister Tankram Verma performed Bhoomi Pujan and Inauguration. Raipur, June 12, 2026/Chhattisgarh's Revenue Minister Mr. Tankram Verma today gave a big gift of various development works worth about three and a half crore rupees to Balodabazar municipality area. Minister Mr. Verma performed Bhoomi Pujan of various construction works costing a total of 3 crore 35 lakh rupees, and also inaugurated a newly constructed rain shelter worth 12.32 lakh rupees for the convenience of the disabled. Details of Development Works Looking at these development works of Bhoomi Pujan and inauguration, extensive steps have been taken to strengthen the infrastructure in various wards of the municipality area. Under this, 12 relief shelters will be constructed at a cost of 56.86 lakh rupees in Ward No. 16, while the foundation stone for 10 relief shelters will be laid at a cost of 60.25 lakh rupees in Ward No. 12. Considering the sensitivity and needs of the local citizens, the cremation ground will be upgraded and renovated at a cost of 61.44 lakh rupees in Ward No. 17. Similarly, a large amount of 1.17 crore rupees has been sanctioned under the Infrastructure and Environment Fund for the systematic development of the city, with which 10 different development works will be completed in various wards. Along with this, with the objective of ensuring clean and smooth drinking water supply to the general public, pipeline extension work has been started in different areas at a cost of 40.72 lakh rupees. Along with all these Bhoomi Pujan works, prioritizing social responsibility, a modern rain shelter costing 12.32 lakh rupees has been constructed and inaugurated specifically for the disabled near the bus stand. On this occasion, Revenue Minister Mr. Tank Ram Verma said that the state government is taking development works forward at full speed. He said that whether it is a village or a city, no obstacle will be allowed in the path of development. Our double engine government is running at a fast pace on the path of development. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai, the all-round development of the state is being ensured. Welfare schemes are being implemented for every class - youth, women, farmers and the elderly - and the public is happy by taking direct benefit from them. After the Bhoomi Pujan program, Minister Mr. Verma gave a message of environmental protection and promoting greenery. He planted an Amla sapling on the embankment of the nearby pond. Along with this, he also planted a Neem sapling in the Janpad Panchayat office premises. During this, former Assembly Speaker Mr. Gaurishankar Agrawal, Municipal President Mr. Ashok Jain, Janpad President Mrs. Sulochana Yadav, along with a large number of local representatives, dignitaries and officials were present.
