Girl forced into auto under garba pretext, assaulted near railway depot, suspect in custody

According to the investigating team, the girl had travelled from Kotwali to participate in a garba program at Kundan Palace. Finding the event delayed, she accepted an invitation from a rickshaw driver who claimed he could show her the city’s highlights. The driver later diverted the vehicle to a barren zone adjacent to the railway depot and the nearby FCI warehouse. There, he committed rape before fleeing. The victim reported the incident at the local police outpost, prompting officials to file a case under the Indian Penal Code. The accused, identified as Karan Darbhe, was apprehended within hours of the complaint.
