Forest Minister Shri Kedhar Kasyap's initiative will provide free saplings in all 70 wards of Raipur. Through the 'Nature ATM' plants will reach every household, giving a new boost to the 'One Tree in Mother’s Name' campaign. Raipur, the Forest and Climate Change Department has launched a unique initiative distributing free saplings via the Nature ATM. The main goal is to protect the environment and increase greenery. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai’s vision of 'Greener Chhattisgarh' and the 'One Tree in Mother’s Name' campaign are being advanced by Forest and Climate Change Minister Shri Kedhar Kasyap, launching a free sapling distribution in all 70 wards of Raipur using the Nature ATM. The aim is to link environmental protection with public participation and encourage people to plant a tree in their mother’s name. A mobile sapling distribution vehicle will reach every ward. Forest Minister Shri Kedhar Kasyap on Wednesday hoisted the green flag at the Nature ATM vehicle from his government residence in New Raipur. Through this mobile vehicle, free saplings will be provided to citizens in all 70 wards under the guidance of Principal Chief Forest Conservator and Forest Force Chief Shri Arun Kumar Pandey. Fruit‑bearing, shade‑providing and oxygen‑giving plants will be supplied through the Nature ATM, with various species that are fruit‑bearing, shade‑providing and give more oxygen. The campaign aims not only at planting but also at developing a sense of social responsibility towards plant conservation. The green and clean Raipur initiative: Forest Minister Shri Kedhar Kasyap said trees are priceless heritage for future generations. A tree planted in honour of mothers symbolizes both maternal respect and nature conservation. Initiatives like the Nature ATM will bring greenery to common people and help make Raipur a greener, cleaner and healthier city. Appeal to citizens to join the campaign: officials and staff of the Forest Department and Raipur Forest Division were present at the event. The Forest Department urges citizens to obtain free saplings from the Nature ATM, join the 'One Tree in Mother’s Name' campaign, and actively participate in realizing the Greener Chhattisgarh pledge.
