Forest Minister Inaugurates Gram Panchayat Building and Mahatari Sadan in Mardapal

Raipur, Forest and Climate Change Minister Mr. Kedar Kashyap today inaugurated the newly constructed Gram Panchayat building and Mahatari Sadan in Mardapal, Kondagaon district. He dedicated the Gram Panchayat building, constructed at a cost of approximately 12 lakh rupees, and the Mahatari Sadan, built at a cost of approximately 25 lakh rupees, to the villagers.

Mahatari Sadan is an important center for economic and social empowerment of rural women.

In Mahatari Sadan, Minister Mr. Kashyap interacted with the women of the Bihạn Self-Help Group. He inquired about their livelihood activities and the changes in their income after joining the group. The women informed that by joining self-help groups, they are getting new opportunities for employment and income. The Forest Minister said that Mahatari Sadan is an important center for the economic and social empowerment of rural women. The state government is continuously striving to make women self-reliant. Through schemes like Lakhpati Didi and Drone Didi, new opportunities for employment, self-employment, and income are being provided to women.

Forest Minister Mr. Kashyap called upon the women to adopt fruit tree plantation, animal husbandry, and other income-generating activities. He said that if these activities are undertaken with hard work and better planning, the income of rural families can increase. He expressed confidence that Mahatari Sadan will play an important role in promoting the activities of women's self-help groups and making rural women self-reliant.

The program was attended by District Panchayat President Mrs. Rita Shori, Janpad Panchayat President Mrs. Anita Korram, District Panchayat Member Mrs. Yashoda Kashyap, Janpad Panchayat Vice President Mr. Tomendra Thakur, Janpad Member Mrs. Kausalya Korram, Mrs. Jaymati Kashyap, Mr. Ramuram Korram, Mr. Ramchandra Kashyap, Mr. Ramkumar Korram, Mr. Ramesh Sethia, Mr. Aasman Korram, Mr. Lakshmikant Belsariya, District Manager of National Rural Livelihood Mission Mr. Vinay Singh, along with other public representatives, officials, and a large number of villagers.
