Financial aid from Naunihal eases study costs for Rajesh Pandey’s kids

Raipur, Oct 1, 2026 – Rajesh Kumar Pandey, a construction labourer, has always placed his children’s schooling above all else, despite earning a limited daily wage. The Naunihal Scholarship Initiative, aimed at the first two children of registered building workers, granted his family a sum ranging from 1,000 to 10,000 rupees.

Residing in the rural hamlet of Bachatwar, the assistance has covered essential educational expenses, from school supplies to exam fees, giving the Pandey household a welcomed financial cushion.

Eligibility and payout

The Labour Department’s Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board oversees the program. Workers who are officially registered can enroll their first two school‑going children and receive a stipend proportional to the level of study.

Effect on household budgeting

“My earnings are spent on food, rent and the occasional health need. Adding school costs made budgeting stressful,” Pandey said. “The scholarship has reduced that strain, allowing me to concentrate on both work and my children’s future.”

Government outlook

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai highlighted the scheme as a key component of the state’s welfare drive, noting that education support for labour families will continue to expand in the coming years.
