Prioritizing fitness and wellness is extremely important in today's hectic lifestyle — Finance Minister Shri OP Chaudhary Police personnel, their families, and local youth will benefit from modern gym facilities Raipur, May 20, 2026/ Finance Minister Shri OP Chaudhary today inaugurated a police gym equipped with state-of-the-art facilities at Police Line Urdana, Raigarh. He inaugurated the gym by cutting a ribbon and offered prayers to the picture of Lord Hanuman installed in the gym room, wishing for the happiness, health, and safety of the state's residents. On this occasion, Finance Minister Shri OP Chaudhary reviewed the modern fitness equipment installed in the gym and said that in the current busy lifestyle, it is necessary to prioritize both physical fitness and mental wellness. He advised everyone to take out at least 30 minutes daily for exercise. He said that police personnel perform their duties of public service and law and order 24 hours a day. In such a situation, it is extremely important for them to remain physically and mentally healthy. This modern gym will prove useful not only for police personnel but also for their families and local youth, and will promote a healthy and disciplined lifestyle. Senior Superintendent of Police Shri Shashi Mohan Singh informed that to keep police personnel stress-free and enhance their performance, the Raigarh police are giving special priority to yoga, sports, and fitness activities. With this objective, the police gym has been upgraded and equipped with state-of-the-art machines. He said that this facility will enable police personnel to maintain their fitness by exercising regularly, which will have a positive impact on both their health and work performance.
