Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said this today while engaging in an intimate discussion with farmers from various districts of the state during the 'Chief Minister's Farmer Dialogue' held in Raipur. On this occasion, he shared his personal experiences related to farming and discussed in detail the questions and suggestions of the farmers. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that he himself comes from a farmer family and got the opportunity to take care of farming and family responsibilities at a young age. For this reason, he understands the needs, challenges, and struggles of the farmers closely. He said that earlier farming was completely dependent on rain, and there was a lack of modern technologies and facilities, but today big changes have come in the agriculture sector. Productivity has increased with the use of machines, scientific methods, and new technologies, and new possibilities have opened up for the farmers. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the welfare of farmers has been given the highest priority. Schemes like Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi, agricultural loans at zero percent interest, advanced seeds, irrigation facilities, and agricultural mechanization have provided financial strength to the farmers. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that during the direct interaction with farmers in the villages during the Good Governance Fair, it was experienced that the benefits of various schemes are bringing positive changes in the lives of the farmers. He said that the confidence visible on the faces of the farmers is the real success of the government's schemes. Interacting with the drone didis present in the program, the Chief Minister discussed the utility of drone technology in the agriculture sector. He said that spraying nano-urea and nano-DAP through drones can be done with less time, less cost, and more effectiveness. This is making farming modern, scientific, and profitable, and new employment and self-employment opportunities are being created for women as well. Calling nano-urea, nano-DAP, and organic farming the needs of the future, the Chief Minister said that their use reduces costs, increases production capacity, and also ensures the conservation of soil fertility and the environment. He urged the farmers to use chemical fertilizers judiciously and adopt natural and organic farming. The state and central governments have ensured the arrangement of sufficient quantities of fertilizers and seeds for the upcoming Kharif season, and strict monitoring is being done to prevent black marketing and hoarding. In the program, progressive farmers from various districts of the state shared their experiences of advanced farming of crops like guava, dragon fruit, sweet lime, papaya, and mango. The Chief Minister said that crop diversification is an effective means of increasing farmers' income, and in keeping with the changing times, farmers should adopt horticulture, natural farming, organic farming, and other innovations along with traditional farming. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that today's youth are seeing farming not just as a tradition but as a modern enterprise. This change is very positive for the agriculture sector. The state government is implementing various programs to promote agriculture-based skill development, drone operation, agricultural machinery, organic farming, and agricultural entrepreneurship.
