GST Savings Festival: Farmers get big relief in tractor purchase – Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai interacts with farmers at a tractor showroom during the GST savings festival
Raipur, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today visited the tractor showroom located at Devpuri on a surprise inspection during the GST savings festival. Mr. Sai interacted with the farmers here and took information about their reactions on the GST reduction and the savings in purchases. Chief Minister Shri Sai handed over the keys to the farmers who came to buy tractors and harvesters at the showroom and gave them best wishes.
Chief Minister Shri Sai handed over the keys of his new harvester to Shri Ravi Kumar Sahu, a resident of Biroda, Abhanpur. Expressing happiness on this occasion, Shri Ravi Sahu said, “I had not even dreamed that I would buy a new harvester. I was thinking of buying a second-hand harvester. I have saved a total of Rs 2 lakh on the purchase of a new harvester at the GST festival. The solution to the concerns of the farmers can only be done by our sensitive Prime Minister Modi ji and farmer-friendly Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai ji. The Chief Minister himself handed over the keys of my new harvester to me and interacted with me very affectionately. I told him that I have two acres of land and now with the arrival of the harvester, I will be able to do more farming in partnership in the village.” Shri Ravi expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the GST reduction.
Chief Minister Shri Sai handed over the keys of his new tractor to Shri Gyanik Ram Sahu, a senior farmer from Abhanpur Kolar. While interacting with the Chief Minister, Shri Sahu said that after the GST reduction, he has saved a total of Rs 60 thousand on the purchase of a new tractor. He said that with this saving, his family will be able to celebrate the festival even better.
Mr. Ashok Agarwal, the proprietor of the tractor showroom, told the Chief Minister in the conversation that due to the GST reduction, sales are increasing and the enthusiasm of the customers has increased. He said, “Earlier, the tractor which used to cost Rs 10.25 lakh is now available at Rs 9.75 lakh, due to which farmers are saving Rs 50 thousand. Similarly, a tractor of 7.62 lakh is now available at 7.21 lakh and a tractor of 6.51 lakh is now available at 6.11 lakh. Farmers are saving a lot due to price cuts and festival discounts. Harvesters have also become cheaper after the GST rate has come down.”
Savings of 7 thousand in bike purchases due to GST reduction
After this, Chief Minister Shri Sai reached the Bajaj bike showroom of Devpuri and had a cordial discussion with the customers present here on the GST reduction. He handed over the keys of his new bike to Shri M.D. Gulab, a resident of Santoshi Nagar, who came to buy a bike. Mr. Gulab said that after the GST reduction, he has saved Rs 7 thousand on buying the bike. He said, “I have bought a Bajaj Platina 110 CC bike, which earlier cost Rs 89,000, which I now got for Rs 82,000.”
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that GST 2.0 implemented under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given real relief to the common people, farmers and consumers. The decrease in the prices of tractors, harvesters and other agricultural implements is directly benefiting the farmers, which will make their farming and livelihood easier. He said that this GST savings festival has reduced the burden on the pockets of consumers and has increased the happiness of families during the festive season. This reform is not only accelerating economic activities but is also creating a new environment of enthusiasm and prosperity in both rural and urban areas.
