Raipur, May 20, 2026/ The Minpa region of Sukma district was once considered remote due to Naxalism, dense forests, and difficult terrain. Providing health facilities here was also a major challenge. There was a time when health services were started in a small hut. Despite limited resources and difficult circumstances, health department employees did not give up and reached villages to treat people. Awareness about health was also increased among the villagers by continuously organizing health camps. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and through the state government's public welfare schemes, a significant change is now visible in the Minpa region. In the year 2024, a new Sub Health Center building was constructed here, equipped with modern health facilities, a laboratory room, and necessary staff. Today, this Sub Health Center has become a life-saving facility for approximately 3,593 villagers from remote villages including Minpa, Duleḍ, Elmagunda, Bhatpaḍ, Potteṁḍagū, Ṭonḍāmaraka, and Guṇḍarājapāḍ. The biggest highlight of this success is the dedication of the health workers. To reach inaccessible villages like Potteṁḍagū, Duleḍ, Guṇḍarājapāḍ, and Bhatpaḍ, health workers have to traverse difficult jungle paths. Sometimes, it is not possible to return in a single day, in which case the employees stay in the villages, conduct 'night camps', and treat patients even at night. As a result of this hard work and service spirit, today 15 to 20 patients are coming to the Minpa Sub Health Center for treatment daily. Approximately 4 safe deliveries are conducted here every month, increasing the villagers' trust in institutional deliveries. The achievement of the Minpa Health Center has also received national recognition. On May 15, 2026, this center successfully completed the 'National Quality Assurance Standard' (NQAS) program. This accomplishment is the result of the collective efforts of Mitanins, ANMs, CHOs, Supervisors, Sector Medical Officers, and the district administration. This journey, which began in a small hut, has today reached national quality standards. The story of Minpa demonstrates that with strong resolve, effective implementation of government schemes, and the dedication of employees, new light of development can be brought even to the most inaccessible areas.
