Ex‑Assistant Grade‑2 Officer Faces Three‑Year Jail for Accepting Rs 12,000 Bribe

Gautam Singh Aym, who was attached to the Block Education Office, was taken into judicial custody after the ACB’s raid. He spent more than 48 hours in judicial lock‑up before being released on 21 August 2024 on bail. The subsequent trial confirmed the bribery charge, and the judge ordered a three‑year rigorous sentence along with a ₹10,000 penalty, with a provision for an extra month of imprisonment if the fine remained unpaid.
