Raipur, Usually, when people hear the word ATM, a picture of a cash-dispensing machine comes to mind. However, the Jashpur Forest Department has taken an innovative step towards making environmental conservation a campaign for everyone by launching a 'Tree ATM'. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai flagged off this unique mobile Tree ATM at the Bagia helipad complex. This initiative will ensure easy availability of saplings to the general public and will also give new momentum to environmental conservation and public awareness.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai himself received an Amla sapling from the Tree ATM and distributed saplings to those present. He said that this mobile Tree ATM will reach various areas of the district and provide free saplings to the general public. This will encourage more and more people to participate in plantation and give new expansion to public participation in environmental conservation.
Appreciating this innovative initiative of the Jashpur Forest Department, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that the 'Tree ATM' is a commendable effort to provide saplings to people in an easy and simple way. He said that the rainy season is currently the most suitable time for plantation. At such a time, this initiative will make various species of saplings easily available to people, which will promote plantation on a large scale and give new strength to environmental conservation efforts.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' (One Tree in Mother's Name) campaign, launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has created a new consciousness towards environmental conservation across the country. Inspired by this campaign, extensive plantation is also being carried out in Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that environmental conservation is the moral duty of every citizen. If every person takes a pledge to plant a sapling and take care of it until it becomes a tree, then a clean, green, and secure environment can be ensured for future generations. He called upon the people of the state to join the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign by planting more and more saplings.

Notably, the Tree ATM launched under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign was flagged off with the inspiring message 'Today's Sapling, Shade for Future Generations'. Under this innovative initiative, not only will free saplings be distributed, but every person who receives a sapling will also be informed about the scientific and correct method of plantation, regular care, conservation, and measures to keep the sapling safe until it becomes a tree. The aim is not just to plant saplings, but to increase their conservation and survival rate, so that this environmental conservation campaign can become long-term and effective.
