Bilaspur police have arrested three men accused of stealing valuables from a residence in Sakri's Sagardeep colony. The prime suspect, 31‑year‑old Ashish Mishra, was a suspended police guard who allegedly plotted the theft with Sunil Singh Thakur (27) and Anurag Chaudhary (23).
According to investigators, the motive was to fund a drug habit. The conspirators exploited Mishra’s intimate knowledge of the home’s lockers, breaking the lock and removing gold, silver and cash. A bullet‑bike used in the getaway was seized during the operation.
All three were placed in judicial remand after being presented before the court. Police continue to probe whether the group was involved in earlier robberies.
