DPI Order: Offline Leave Not Valid, HRMIS Portal Now Compulsory

Raipur: Strict new rules have come into force for leave among teachers and employees of the School Education Department in Chhattisgarh. The Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI) has announced that offline leave applications will no longer be recognised, and that leave must be sought through the HRMIS portal.

The entire leave cycle, covering application submission and final approval, will now run on the HRMIS portal. Teachers and employees are expected to follow this digital system carefully whenever they apply for leave.

The DPI has instructed all District Education Officers (DEOs) in the state to enforce these orders firmly. As per the directive, officers, employees and teachers of the School Education Department are required to submit leave requests online on the HRMIS portal, and their approval will also be processed online.

Offline Route Will Not Lead to Leave Action

The DPI has come across instances where, even after the online system was introduced, offline leave applications were being accepted and acted upon in certain areas. The Directorate has therefore made clear that no leave action will be taken on the basis of offline applications.

Teachers and employees must therefore rely only on the HRMIS portal for their leave needs. An offline application submitted to obtain leave sanction will no longer hold any validity.

Digital Attendance Paves the Way for Digital Leave

The School Education Department has already put an online attendance system in place for teachers and employees, with attendance being recorded through the VSK app. The department now wants leave applications and their sanction to be handled through digital means as well.

Under this arrangement, attendance and leave records will be available online, and the application and sanction process can be completed through the designated portal.

Teachers and Staff Asked to Follow the Order

The DPI has asked all relevant officers to ensure these instructions are strictly followed. Teachers and employees in the state must therefore file their leave applications online on the HRMIS portal before taking leave. Under departmental instructions, no action on leave will be taken based on offline applications.
