Double Subsidy Cuts Solar Setup Cost by ₹1.08 Lakh for Chhattisgarh Home

Alam Sai Rajwade’s rooftop solar plant became financially viable thanks to a two‑tier subsidy structure. The central government contributed ₹78,000 while the state added ₹30,000, totalling a ₹1.08 lakh reduction in the project’s price.

The assistance covered a large portion of the equipment and installation charges, allowing the family to complete the setup without taking a loan. The smooth application process, from paperwork to commissioning, was praised by the homeowner.

Rajwade now urges other eligible households to leverage the same scheme, emphasizing that the financial relief removes a major barrier to renewable adoption in the district.
