Double Engine Government's Resolve Gains New Momentum: Historical Central Decisions Will Provide Chhattisgarh a New Basis for Industrial and Agricultural Development
Raipur – Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sahay welcomed the approval of Semicon 2.0, the National Urea Investment Policy-2026 (NIPU-2026) and the Mobile Phone Manufacturing Promotion Scheme (MPMS) by the Union Cabinet under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership, calling it a historic and forward‑looking decision for building a developed India. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi and the central cabinet. He said that under Modi’s leadership India is rapidly moving towards a new era of self‑reliance, innovation and advanced manufacturing. The three central initiatives will boost the country’s industrial capacity, agricultural security and electronics manufacturing to new heights. He thanked the Prime Minister and the cabinet for these steps. The ₹127,500‑crore Semicon 2.0 programme will create a world‑class ecosystem for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, strengthening India’s role in the global supply chain. He said Chhattisgarh is emerging as a fast‑growing destination for high‑technology industries thanks to a new industrial policy, better infrastructure, investor‑friendly environment and skill development, creating new investment and employment opportunities in the state. He added that the National Urea Investment Policy‑2026 will strengthen fertilizer availability and help farmers receive timely inputs, benefiting millions of farmers in Chhattisgarh and giving agricultural production new strength. He said the centre and state governments are working together continuously for farmer prosperity and agricultural self‑reliance. He noted that the ₹62,500‑crore Mobile Phone Manufacturing Promotion Scheme is a key step to position India as a global hub for electronics manufacturing and export, providing extensive support to Indian brands, R&D, innovation and local production. He said Chhattisgarh is also preparing a conducive environment for industrial investment, electronics, IT and emerging technology sectors, creating new jobs and entrepreneurship opportunities for the youth. Finally, he said that such visionary decisions under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership will give new momentum to both a developed India and a developed Chhattisgarh, and that this development model based on innovation, investment, technological self‑reliance, modern manufacturing and agricultural empowerment will play a crucial role in elevating the economies of the nation and the state in the years to come.
