DMF Fund Misuse and Bounced Cheques Spark Investigation into BJP Minister

Akbar Tigala is facing scrutiny over alleged financial irregularities involving the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) funds. Reports suggest that Tigala collected large commissions from contractors by promising them DMF-linked projects that never commenced. When projects failed to materialize, Tigala reportedly issued cheques to refund the advances, many of which subsequently bounced. This has led to accusations of fraud and the unauthorized use of party stationery to deceive stakeholders. A joint investigation by the EOW and district police is expected to follow.
