Dharamjaigarh-Pathalgaon-Lohardaga Rail Project Will Give New Momentum to Jashpur's Development: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur, June 13, 2026/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnav for the central government notifying the Dharamjaigarh-Pathalgaon-Lohardaga new rail line project as a special railway project. He said that this decision will prove to be historic for the development of the entire North Chhattisgarh including Jashpur. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that with the coordinated efforts of the double-engine government, a new chapter is being added to the development of Jashpur. The path has been paved to connect the Jashpur district, which has been waiting for rail connectivity for a long time, to the rail network for the first time through this project. This will provide better transportation facilities to the people of the region, as well as give new momentum to economic and social development. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Jashpur, rich in natural resources, tourism potential, and cultural heritage, will be better connected to the major economic and industrial centers of the country through this rail project. This will create new opportunities in the fields of education, health, tourism, trade, industry, and employment, and will give a new direction to the overall development of the forest region. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the central government is continuously prioritizing the development of Chhattisgarh. Work is being done rapidly to connect the remote areas of the state to the mainstream of development through rail, road, energy, and other infrastructure projects. The Dharamjaigarh-Pathalgaon-Lohardaga rail project is a strong example of this resolve. Chief Minister Shri Sai, expressing heartfelt gratitude on behalf of all the people of the state to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnav for this important project, said that this project will prove to be a strong foundation stone for the progress, prosperity, and bright future of Jashpur and surrounding areas.
